Aksar – An Urdu poetry about hope in times of war

Waise toh Urdu ko hamesha se ek shireen zuban kaha jata hai lekin Urdu hi woh zaban hai jisne humme lafz-e -inquilab bhi diya hai”.(Urdu has always been considered as one of the sweetest languages but this language also embodies rebellion in its expression)

This poem by Aquila Khan expresses the horrors of violence little children face in war torn countries. It paints a callous picture of atrocities tackled both physically and mentally. But the poetess sees hope in these very young minds to look beyond violence and embrace peace for their own better future. Because “An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.”

Aksar meri sarzameen per aisa bhi hota hai
Bachpan zakhmi laholohaan hota hai …
Akasr nahi goojti wos k kaano mein loriya..
Bomb v baarood ki awaaz sunn sehma sa sota hai …
Aksar meri sarzameen per aisa bhi hota hai…..

Tumhari khauff zada raato mein sapney bhi aate hongay..
Won sapno ki tabeer mei batati hoon dosto..
Woh sapney hai sahar.e.azaadi k sapney..
Woh sapney hai aman.e.watan k..
Woh musbat mustakbil k sapney..
Jo dekhe hai hum ne tumne or tumhare ajdaad ne..
Woh sapney surkh aftaab le kr aayega…
Umeedo ki darwaajo se tumahre sirhaane baithega…
Aksar isss arzameen par aisa hi hoaa hai..
Jab jab zulam badha hai woh nast.o.nabood hoa hai…
Tum sapnay dekho ..

Khauff k nahi aazaadi k..
Darr k nahi bekhauffi k..
Kaid k nahi rehaaee k..
Anjaam k nahi aagaaj k..

Hum sab gar eksaath jo ho yeh hosley joshilay hongay
Woh aoozaaro k dum per zulam machate hai..
Tum himmat k geet gana sathiyo..
Woh moat ki need solatayhai
Tum zindagi k geet saaj bajana sathiyo …

Q k aksar iss sarzameen pr aisa hi hota hai..
Nayee Nasal ne zulam ka khatama kr aman ka paigaam diya hai,..
Aksar….. haan Aksar.!
